About No Fear in Love

Hey y’all! I’m Hannah. I’m a newlywed, a believer, and I am super passionate about sharing my personal experience with relationship anxiety / relationship OCD while dating my now husband (!!!).

Since you’re here, I know that you are experiencing pain in your relationship. Whether you’re struggling with unmet expectations, confusing feelings, fear of the future, worry about making a mistake, or all of the above, know that I have been there and you are not alone.

I have always wanted to get married, so when I finally met my now husband and experienced a healthy, loving, God-honoring relationship for the first time, I was heartbroken that I was also met with overwhelming anxiety, fear, and worry. I couldn’t understand why I would have such negative feelings associated with my relationship and this person whom I loved so much and wanted to marry, though my anxiety often made me question those feelings. Was this a sign that I wasn’t supposed to marry him, even though he was the most Christ-like man I have ever met? The constant questioning of myself and our relationship was incredibly difficult for both of us.

Thankfully, the Lord in His kindness opened my eyes and heart to His will for me: to heal from what I learned was relationship anxiety and relationship OCD, and to trust Him in my decision to marry the man of my dreams.

I wholeheartedly believe that God has lovingly allowed me to walk through a season of relationship anxiety with my husband so that I can #1 grow closer to Him, and #2 educate and encourage other Christians who are struggling in a similar season.

I’m so glad you’re here. It’s time to walk in the freedom Christ has for you.

1 John 4:18

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.

You can discern God’s will and experience peace in your relationship, too.

I can’t wait for you to experience the peace and freedom that Christ has given me.
